Sunday, December 7th

Well, I made it back from my trip in time to list my Angels on Ebay...I listed 4 this week and here are some pictures.
It is freezing here, 13 and the wind is blowing. My trip up north was quite slippery and I saw about a dozen wrecks, but other than having white knuckles, I made it there safely and home again tonight...The party was a great success, Thank you Ginny!  Back to work again tomorrow bright and early. I will be making some stars this week and hopefully a box or two, and of course at least one Angel painting.  Have a fabulous week everyone. Stay warm! xoxo Beth

Brrr.....

Hello everyone,
Today I am setting out to drive 2 hours north of where I live to spend time with my best friend Ginny. It is our Christmas get-together. Normally, I wouldn't write about it but it is already snowing here and she lives just on the edge of the snowbelt. Some of you know that I really don't care too much for snow, but what I really don't like is the wind and when the temp drops into the teens or lower. Today will present all of the above... I packed a few things just in case I can't get out later. I am off work tomorrow so I don't have to be back until tomorrow night.
I am hoping to go to the German Village here in Columbus tomorrow night and take pictures of Fire on the Water. All the beautiful old mansions will be lit up for Christmas and they do something with fire on beautiful Schiller pond. They do it every year and I have never seen it before. I will take pictures and post them here. ( Also more Angels this week)
Have a great weekend....I hope you don't have to shovel snow where you live. Beth

Angels, angels, angels...

more Angels...

More Angels

I thought it was high time to put more Angels on the blog. I will have you know that I survived Thanksgiving and Green Friday (I work in Retail) and I am now well into the Holiday season at work. Busy, busy, busy!!!!! Needless to say I have not gotten much painting done. I have 2 new Angels started but my work schedule won't allow me to paint again until Thursday.

It is snowing here tonight. brrrr... I usually don't mind the snow, but I don't like the cold and wind, and I don't like shoveling my driveway. It is a hill and no FUN!!!

Angels make me happy though...

Last night's painting

I'm still here....

It has been so long since I have written in this blog that I am ashamed of myself. I have been busy at work as back to college is the busiest time for my store. Anyway, that is all behind me now. I have however been taking an online art class with Suzi Blu and it is fantastic! So much to see and do, it is Heaven! The class is on mixed media and is something I have never tried before but now I am hooked and look forward to more classes in the future. Pictures forthcoming, I promise. Blessings, Beth

Tip About Your Car Keys
Great Idea!!!PUT YOUR CAR KEYS BESIDE YOUR BED AT NIGHT. Tell your spouse, your children, your neighbors, your parents, your Dr Office, the check out Girl at the market, everyone you run across. Put your car keys beside your bed at night. If you hear a noise outside your home or someone trying to get in your house, just press the panicbutton for your car. The alarm will be set off, and the horn will continue to sound until either you turn it off or the car battery dies. This tip came from a neighborhood watch coordinator. Next time you come home for the night and you start to put your keys away, think of this: It's a security alarm system that you probably already have and requires no installation. Test it. It will go off from most everywhere inside your house and will keep honking until your battery runs down or until you reset it with the button on the key fob chain. It works if you park in your driveway or garage If your car alarm goes off when someone is trying to break in your house, odds are the burglar won't stickaround... after a few seconds all the neighbors will be looking out their windows to see who is out there and sure enough the criminal won't want that. And remember to carry your keys while walking to your car in a parking lot. The alarm can work the same way there.....This is something that should really be shared with everyone. Maybe it could save a life or a sexual abuse crime. P.S. I am sending this to everyone I know because I think it is fantastic. Would also be useful for any emergency, such as a heartattack, where you can't reach a phone. My Mom has suggested to my Dad that he carry his car keys with him in case he falls outside and she doesn't hear him. He can activate the car alarm from anywhere in the yard and then she'll know there's a problem. I got this idea from a dear friend in Texas. Thanks Heather

Something new coming

Here is a new White Light Angel from this week's listing and some more design pictures
I took at an Antique store. The flowers are from the park last week.

Tonight I am working on something new. I am back to playing with fabric. I hope to have the new project done and ready to list this Sunday evening. Keep your finger's crossed. New angels too. I haven't had the chance to take any new pictures the last couple days but I will squeeze that in this week too. Hope everyone is having a great week! Blessings, Beth

I finally made it to the park.....

I finally made it to the park today. It is called Goodale Park and it is small but fabulous, as you will see. It is hot outside, around 90 degrees, so I didn't see very many people. I am sure this park is brimming with people normally. I saw one jogger (female), one guy feeding ducks, and one guy working on a trac-hoe. I saw as many wildlife; three ducks and a squirrel. Parking spaces were great today, plenty to pick from.

From the park I went to the North Market. It is a wonderful indoor market with vendors selling all sorts of things. Meat, poultry, fish all ready to take home and cook. Jewelry, pastries, candy, flowers, how can a girl choose? Ah but I knew what I wanted! LUNCH!!! I chose an asparagus salad, vegetable soup, and deviled eggs. What a combo, but delicious! I had never been to the North Market before, but the college kids I work with have been telling me to go that "I would LOVE it". And of course they were right. I had a plan before I got there. Get some lunch and buy a house plant. I DID! Well, I couldn't decide so I bought 4, and had my parking validated! What a quality trip this was!

Enough goofing around, it is time to get busy with the brush! I am painting an Angel (who could guess that) holding a sunflower tonight. I may put her on Ebay tomorrow.

Thanks to Katy and John for the posts, you know you are the ones who got me thinking about this. Love you both! Blessings to all, Beth

The perfect time...

It is Wednesday noontime and I think it is the perfect time to start blogging. I have been wanting to for a while now but never seem to find the time to start. Today is the day. It is hot and cloudy in Columbus today and I have painting to do. My stack of canvas is wondering what in the world I am doing. I usually paint on Wednesday mornings before I go to work. I am off today so I have been lounging at the computer all morning! Oh the life!!! I hope to go to a new park (for me) this afternoon and take some pictures. I will post them if I get there and it isn't raining. As for now I will show you some of the pictures I have from recent small trips... I love to take pictures, as you will soon see. Have a great day.....Beth
