Easter 2010

Tears for Bill

I was driving to breakfast Saturday morning when I got the call that my baby sister's husband Bill had died from a heart attack. I always carry a pencil and drawing pad with me and draw whenever I can. Especially in restaurants because it takes the focus from why am I there alone to the attraction to what I am drawing. Anyway in my sadness I drew this angel and then rushed home to paint her. I will be traveling to Ohio this coming week for the memorial service and spend some time with family. Bill Brown was a firefighter and well loved in their small town of Wooster, Ohio. We will all miss you Bill.

Changing an Angel

I decided that I didn't like my Angel's features being so harsh so I softened them up a bit and made her into a Love Letter Angel. I like her much better. Have a great week. It is warmer here now in the 50s and 60s. Yeah!!!

Time Flys by so Fast!!!

I can't believe it is almost the middle of January 2010! I have not been here since Nov. 8th. Many of you know that I work in retail so all of November and December is just a blur. I took off a month from painting to allow me to do my Christmas shopping and get the house back in order after the holidays. I also have been doing alot of reading and signed up for another Suzi class. (yeah) This is the first painting this year and she is influenced by Suzi's class. She is on Ebay this week.

Cold, cold, cold here. In the thirties! I have heard a number of people say they have never seen the cold last so long down here. At least it is snow free!!! I am so GRATEFUL!!!

Busy Painting all week...

I have had a busy week painting. I listed 7 tonight on Ebay. Yesterday I watched Ohio State play while I was painting. I don't get the big 10 network here, so I was glad to see them on ESPN. For several weeks I have listened to them play on Scarlet and Gray radio on the computer, but watching is so much better. Here are the girls for this week. I am scanning a picture I drew this week that has a funny story to go with it. I will publish it soon. Have a wonderful week all. I will be painting in Paradise (after work of course). Busy Weekend Painting...

I have had a busy weekend painting. Halloween got the better of my creative juices this weekend and I painted a gothic girl. Once I had the girl done I could not put the brushes down. It was very warm on Saturday but cooler today. Sunny and beautiful... I listened to the Buckeyes win on Saturday while I painted. These are the paintings on Ebay this week.
